- Interpret the symbols pre-wash, head wash, liquid detergent, and rinse aid -
Want to wash clothes?
But do not know in which compartment you should pour the detergents?
We will help you with the detergent cartridge sign!
Examples of a regular detergent cartridge on a washing machine. The cartridge usually consists of 3 – 4 compartments.
Maybe you need to use a washing machine, but do not know what the symbols for the various means look like?
There are often four symbols to keep in order when pouring detergents – “Pre-wash”, “Head wash”, “Liquid detergent” and “Rinse / softener”.
It may be difficult to distinguish these symbols, but learning them in the head can save both time and energy!
Review of the four symbols:
Symbol 1:
“Pre”:
This symbol, with a standing line in a bath tub, means “prewash”. The pre-wash is an extra program that runs before the regular washing, if you want the clothes to be extra clean. One memory trick for remembering the symbol may be that it looks like a “one” (1). – So the “first” wash!
.
Symbol 2:
“Main wash”:
Two standing lines in a bathtub, means “main laundry”. It is the large general laundry program that most people use. The thought trick here may be that the symbol looks like a “second” – thus the “second” wash!
.
Symbol 3:
“Liquid detergent”:
This is what the “liquid detergent” symbol might look like. Some people find it easier to deal with liquid detergents than powder detergents. Often, softeners are also included in the liquid detergent. Memory clippings here are the bubbles that surround the symbol and which symbolize foam (from detergent).
.
Symbol 4:
“Fabric softener / softener”:
This is what the rinse aid / softener symbol looks like. It should probably resemble a flower, as the rinse aid often smells of a relatively strong scent. Memory Stick: “Floral Scent”.
.
Information about the article:
Many people find it difficult to keep track of the various symbols found in a laundry compartment / on a washing machine.
Often you are also quite stressed when you wash and if you do not know what the symbols mean, it can be extra stressful.
