"Eurovision Song Contest" is a music competition organized by the European Radio and Television Union.
The television program is the world's largest entertainment program and holds the world record as the longest lasting music competition, and has been organized since 1956.
Rules and design of the competition have changed from year to year and there have been enormous changes to the whole concept.
When the ESC started, it was the actual tunes that competed, which meant that it did not matter which artist was sent from the various countries to the final of the ESC, but in recent years it is the whole performance (song, artist, show, dance, light and sounds) that compete.
