How to set a specific site as “home” in various browsers:

Internet Explorer:

 

1. Start by opening the website that you want as your browser’s homepage.

2. Click on [Tools], then [Internet Options].

3. In the “General” tab, under “Home”, you should now enter the URL that you want as your homepage.

You can also select the current page; click [Use Current].

4. Click [Apply] and then [Ok].


Microsoft Edge:

 

1. Click [More], and then [Settings].

2. Enter the URL that you want as your home page, under the “Open with Microsoft Edge” heading.

– How to set the start-button in Microsoft Edge –

1. Click [More], then select [Settings].

2. Scroll down to the “View advanced settings”.

3. Turn on “Show start button” and select an URL.

4. Click [Save].


Chrome:

 

1. Enter [Menu].

2. Then click [Preferences].

3. Under “On startup”, click [Open a specific page or set of pages]. – If you use a Chromebook, click instead on [Show Advanced Settings].

4. Then type the URL of the website that you want as your home page, and click [Ok].

– How to set the Start-button (Home-button) –

1. Open [Menu], and click [Preferences].

2. Under heading “Appearance”, click [Show Home button].

3. If you now want to select the home page, click [Change] under the “Show Home button” text.


Mozilla Firefox:

 

1. Open a new tab with the website on that you want as your homepage.

2. Now drag the tab to the start button (Home button) and drop it there.

The start button is in shape of a house.


Seamonkey:

 

1. Open the website that you want as your homepage.

2. Select [Edit] and then [Preferences].

3. Click [Navigator].

4. Now drag the URL to the start button (Home button), and then click [Yes] in the dialog box.


Safari:

1. Start by opening the website that you want as your homepage.

2. Click on [Preferences] and then [General].

3. On the tab “Home page”, enter the URL of the website that you want as your home page when you open your browser, or click on “Use Current”. – Then select the website currently open in your browser.

– If you want to open your home page quickly, click [History], and then [Home].


Opera:

 

1. Open the website that you want as your homepage.

2. Click on [Preferences], and then under the tab “General”, click [Open a specific page or set of pages].

3. Now enter the URL of the website that you want as your home page, and if you want the current website, click [Use current].


Android:

 

1. Start by opening the webpage that you want as your homepage.

2. Click [Menu].

3. Click [Add to homescreen].

4. Typ in a title.

5. Click [Add].

– So, now the icon is added to your homescreen !


Netscape:

 

1. Click [Edit] and then [Preferences].

2. In the “Home”-tab, enter the URL of the website that you want as your homepage.

3. Then click [Ok].

– You can now test that your homepage really works, by clicking the “Start-Button” (Home Icon).


Blackberry:

 

1. First, open the site that you want as your homepage.

2. Select [Menu], [Options] and then [Browser configuration].

3. Scroll to bottom, and click [Use Current].


LG:

 

1. On the home screen, click the browser icon.

2. Then enter the URL there.


Konqueror:

 

1. Click [Settings] and then [Configure Konqueror].

2. Select [behavior], then enter the website that you want as your home page, under the heading “Set Home URL”.
