A Pennsylvania man recently captured a video of two venomous copperhead snakes mating near a bike trail and their intimate moment was jaw-dropping.

Jesse Rothacker, a reptile expert and Lancaster County resident, spotted the pair of copperhead snakes on a bike trail over the weekend, Fox News reported. Rothacker uploaded footage of the lusty reptiles on Facebook, after he alerted oncoming bikers and hikers about the mating duo.

While narrating the video, Rothacker explained how it was his first time watching copperhead snakes copulate in the area. The mating copperhead snakes are seen with their tails twisted together, engaging in internal fertilization, and not making noise, even when Rothacker was filming them from a close angle.

“Finding the snakes along the trail is very common,” Rothacker told Fox 43. “Finding the snakes actually getting jiggy with it is very hard to find in the wild, so I talked to many of my herpetology colleagues, and many confirm, they have not seen copperheads doing the deed, so we’re very fortunate to run into them at that time.”

According to Rothacker, there is a second fall breeding season for copperhead snakes. He also warned bikers and hikers to be aware of mating reptiles on their travels, since they like to “get it on” near trails. He didn’t share the location of the specific trail he was on, because he wanted to give the mating reptiles some privacy.

Snyggare än vi trodde - men räcker det?

Förra årets upplaga av iPhones var namnmässigt en rejäl miss. iPhone X var liksom så logisk, iPhone Xr och Xs var det inte. Kanske Xs i och för sig, men inte Xr. Så till årets upplaga av iPhones gör man om och gör det enda rätta, nämligen att kalla uppföljaren till Xr för iPhone 11. So far so good.

När man håller telefonen är det ingen som helst skillnad mot föregångaren. Utrymmet mellan skärm och kant är detsamma som förra året, ok men inte alls imponerande jämfört med flaggskeppen. Vänder man på telefonen är det däremot annorlunda, framförallt på kamerasidan.

Tack gode gud att telefonen inte ser ut som på de läckor som vi fått se. Visst sitter kamerorna på samma ställe som på de ritningar och prototyper gjorda i Kina, men det är så mycket snyggare gjort. Istället för en svart blobba är det en del av ett glasstycke och det är riktigt snyggt gjort.

Känslan överlag är väldigt likt den för iPhone Xr, alltså en ganska så biffig telefon. Men den känns mer detaljerad, men finstämd. Spontant så finns det ingen anledning att köpa en Pro istället för denna, i alla fall inte för designens skull. Det skulle vara om man verkligen måste ha stålram, men den här telefonen lär hamna i ett skal ändå.

Apple today held its annual iPhone-centric event, which saw the debut of the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 5, and 10.2-inch iPad, along with new details on Apple Arcade and Apple TV+.

It took Apple just under two hours to introduce all of the new devices, but we've recapped the entire event in just seven minutes for our readers who want a no-frills but thorough overview of all of the announcements.

The new iPhone 11 ($699), which is the successor to the iPhone XR is Apple's new lower-cost flagship device, while the iPhone 11 Pro ($999) and the iPhone 11 Pro Max ($1099) are aimed at people who want the most pro features for their iPhones.

Apple added dual cameras to the iPhone 11, triple cameras to the 11 Pro, and all the new iPhones have a better TrueDepth camera system, a faster A13 chip, and tons more. The Apple Watch Series 5, meanwhile, has a new always-on display.

Apple shared several videos during its keynote event highlighting new products. We've embedded them below for those who missed seeing the event live.

While Apple live streamed the event on YouTube, the full video isn't available on the site this time. It is, however, watchable on Apple's Event website.

Apple is accepting pre-orders for the new Apple Watch Series 5 and 10.2-inch iPad today, while pre-orders for the new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro will go live on September 13 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

All of the new devices will start shipping out to customers on Friday, September 20.

Apple introduced a new Pro tier to its flagship iPhone range and announced a price cut for its base model, meant to make the device more affordable for the masses. The 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro and 6.5-inch 11 Pro Max feature Apple’s first triple rear camera system, upgraded OLED displays and the company’s new A13 processor, with 20 per cent faster CPU and GPU performance than the A12. Apple claimed the A13's CPU and GPU are the fastest ever offered in a smartphone. The camera system consists of 12MP wide, ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, a brighter flash and 4K video capability. Updated software offers a new Night Mode tool to improve low-light picture quality, with an effect similar to that of the Night Sight feature offered on Google’s Pixel smartphones. A new camera shortcut will allow iPhone users to record video without having to toggle the camera settings by pressing and holding the shutter button. Apple also gave the 12MP front camera a boost, adding support for wide-angle shots and slow-motion video. The company’s entry level iPhone 11 loses the telephoto lens in the rear camera system, but features the same A13 chip and front camera as its premium siblings and a 6.1-inch display. All three models will be offered with the option of 64GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. Like the higher-end handsets of 2018 [1], pricing of the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max will start at $999 and $1099, respectively. However, Apple dropped its entry-level iPhone price by $50, to a starting cost of $699. Kantar’s director of global consumer insight Dominic Sunnebo said the cost cut “shows an understanding of consumer pushback against the steep price rises over the last few years, but also an acceptance that without 5G capability there is very limited scope to push prices up further”. Geoff Blaber, VP of research for the Americas at CCS Insight, told Mobile World Live the lack of 5G was not a surprise given Apple's approach to 3G and 4G, where it waited "for networks to be established so it can deliver 5G at scale". "The new iPhones are an evolutionary step that fulfill the brief for an update to processor and camera technology", he added Consumers in more than 30 countries can begin ordering the devices from 13 September: in-store availability will follow on 20 September. Hardware updates [2]The company also debuted its seventh-generation iPad, featuring a larger 10.2-inch screen, A10 fusion chip and smart connector to attach compatible keyboards. It will run Apple’s new iPadOS, and support updated Apple Pencil gesture controls and tools. Prices for a 32GB model start at $329 for Wi-Fi only and $459 with wireless. It will be available in more than 26 countries beginning 30 September. We're most likely still about a month out from the launch of Google's next flagship smartphone, but leaks have been springing up at a furious pace in recent days. Just last week, we wrote about the first Pixel 4 hands-on video, and in the process of publishing the post, we had to issue an update to include a second video that had begun making the rounds while we were writing. Ever since then, the floodgates haven't closed. The latest leak comes from the appropriately-named Gadget Leaks channels on YouTube, which purports to show off the Pixel 4 in a new orange color. This same color option has appeared in leaks and reports before, including a photo posted on Chinese social media site Weibo earlier this week, which you can see here. This is not the best quality video we've seen of the Pixel 4, but it is our best look yet at the flashy new colorway that Google will be bringing to the Pixel lineup this year. It's also yet more proof (as if we need any more at this point) that the design of the Pixel is being updated to compete with other modern flagships: [https:] If you're looking for a more thorough look at the Pixel 4, a separate leak we wrote about this morning features some of the clearest photos of the phone we're likely to see until actual marketing images leak (which they almost certainly will, since everything leaks now). The new, square rear camera array (which looks virtually identical to the one Apple is bringing to the next iPhone) is the star of the show, but the bezels are still far more prominent than what we're seeing from most major vendors in 2019. It's an interesting decision by Google. Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL early next month.

First Impressions
Most of the first impressions focused on the camera upgrades and slightly tweaked design of each new iPhone.

The Verge's Dieter Bohn said he prefers the matte finish and seamless camera bump of the iPhone 11 Pro:

From the outside, the phones look and feel slightly better than the iPhone XS, though quite a lot of that is the matte finish on the back, which I really prefer — though sometimes matte glass can be more slippy than glossy. Apple says the glass is more durable, and I really do like how it is one piece, with no seam on the camera bump.

So let's talk about the camera bump: it's big. But Apple has designed the lenses on it in such a way that it isn't trying to hide the giant square on the back. I don't love it, but everybody uses a case anyway, so that will help.

SlashGear's Chris Davies was not a big fan of the camera bump, but he does understand why it was designed the way it was:

I have to confess, I wasn’t feeling Apple’s big square camera array when I saw the leaked images and renders. Even now, I’m not 100-percent a fan, particularly when you look at the iPhone 11 Pro next to the iPhone XS Max.

Still, it’s easier to accept the aesthetic necessities when it’s constructed so expertly. Had the camera bulge been grafted on, it would’ve felt clumsy; by growing it out of the glass as a whole, it’s not necessarily pretty but it does feel intentional. Combined with the easier grip of the new texture, it feels far more changed than it looks.

But enough about how this bump looks - what does it actually do? Well, two sensors live in there, both 12MP. However, this time around it's the standard lens plus an ultra-wide angle lens, enabling you to pull back to see more of a scene, with an instant visual suggestion to do so. […]

The quality of the images we took was impressive, although we couldn't test the camera hard in low-light settings, which is a real test for today's high-end smartphones. Apple is touting the night mode versions, and the test options they had for us to see looked good indeed.

The front-facing camera has been improved too, with the sensor being upgraded to 12MP to facilitate wider-angle pics when you rotate the phone landscape, as well as being able to shoot slow motion selfies as well (which Apple is infuriatingly calling Slofies).

The CEO was heaping praise on his underlings' role in bringing the various products and services presented onstage to market — a feat which, in his mind, would surely be the crowning achievement of their lives. Which, when one considers the newly unveiled "slofie," suggests a collection of lives consisting of substantially more valleys than peaks.

Apple today announced and launched pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 5, which is the company's latest wearable device. The new smartwatch features an always-on display, built-in compass, and more, and members of the media have begun sharing their opinions on Series 5 models after going hands-on at Apple Park.

Engadget's Dana Wollman pointed out that the Series 5 is far less of a drastic upgrade compared to last year's Series 4 (which is now discontinued). The Series 5 continues to adopt the Series 4's larger display, 40mm and 44mm case sizes, and ECG testing.

Other than the much-touted always-on display, there isn't a whole lot that's new with Apple Watch Series 5.

Apple just unveiled the newest Apple Watch (we're up to the Series 5 now) and -- I mean this in the nicest way -- but there isn't much to see. Whereas last year's model, the Series 4, ushered in a new, larger screen and a built-in electrocardiogram test, the differences in the Series 5 are difficult to notice at a glance. Chief among them: an always-on display that's constantly visible at dim brightness, but that wakes up to a fuller brightness when you tap it.

Beyond that, this is the Apple Watch you know well by now, just with some new bands and finishes. There's the screen, available in the same two sizes (40mm and 44mm). The Digital Crown is where it's always been (the upper right edge). Below it is that rectangular button you'll use less frequently, though Apple did announce today that you can now use it for international emergency calls on cellular models (i.e., not just in the country where you purchased and activated it).

The Verge's Dieter Bohn also talked about how there is little difference between this year's Apple Watch and last year's, calling the Series 5 a "dead ringer" for the Series 4. Bohn was a fan of the always-on display and believes that this feature will "finally make the Apple Watch a competent time piece."

It works just as you’d expect — you can see the full watch face at a dimmer brightness all the time, and then at full brightness when you lift your wrist up. The watchfaces are even able to show all of their complications and data in the always-on mode.

You can also just slap your hand down on the watch face to immediately dim it, which is some thing I do all the time and is weirdly more satisfying to do on the Series 5 than earlier models, since it changes the mode instead of just turning off the screen.

Apple's upcoming iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max devices will all be available unlocked and SIM free on launch day, suggesting there will be no supply issues with the new iPhones.

Customers will also be able to purchase iPhones for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon if desired, using "Apple iPhone Payments" with the Apple Card, a carrier's device payment program, or the Apple iPhone Upgrade program, which includes AppleCare+ coverage.

The Apple iPhone Payments option is new this year, and it will allow users to pay for their iPhones using Apple Card to receive 3 percent back Daily Cash with each payment. Apple is not offering a no interest payment plan with the Apple Card, however.

AppleCare+ for the new iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max is priced at $199, which is the same price as AppleCare+ was for the iPhone XS and XS Max.

AppleCare+ for the new iPhone 11 is priced at $149, which is the same price as AppleCare+ for the iPhone XR.

AppleCare+ extends the warranty of the new iPhones to 24 months and also covers two incidents of accidental damage with a service fee of $29 for screen damage or $99 for other damage.

Apple says that its newest iPhones are more water resistant (IP68 and water resistant at two meters (iPhone 11) and four meters (iPhone 11 Pro) for 30 minutes) and more shatter resistant with more durable glass, but AppleCare+ is still a good idea for peace of mind, especially for those who prefer to go without a case.

The iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro models will be available for pre-order on Friday, September 13 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time or 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Sure, Apple showed off new iPhones, a new iPad, and finally told us when we can subscribe to Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade. But its surprisingly short (less than two hours, for once) event on Tuesday still left us with some questions about other Apple products.
Mac Pro no-show

Apple's new high-end desktop computer was an understandable omission from Tuesday's show. Everything else Apple showed was relatively affordable and meant for public consumption, at least compared to the $6,000 powerhouse that is the new Mac Pro. Read more...
